The Obedient Sheep

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way [Isaiah 53:6a]

Bible describes us like a sheep that has gone astray due to we tend to take our own way. Moreover, in fact, we are eager to walk swiftly and rashly even though we are heading to the Death Valley.

Specifically, the vivid consequences of going astray is we will have no interest in learning bible, which means our frame of mind will not be formed and revised by the word of God. We will not be able to hear His admonishment at all. As a result, we are inclined to decide what we are going to do by our own thought. For example, when we are in a daze due to we are dealing with a lot of ordeals, what are we planing to? Will we seek some indulgences outside or take some times to pray to God? Are we more interested in babbling over our predicaments with friends or discussing it rigorously with our christian friends who know profoundly about bible and able to give a prudent advice? As Jesus said in the book of Matthew, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (mat 11:28). Hence, it is compulsory to come before the Lord when we are weary and having a tremendous problem.

Furthermore, determining our act based on a sinful thought will be completely harmful to our circumstances. People living amongst us will assess our outward behavior and if they find an adversity within us, undoubtedly, they will make a distance or maybe mock us. At worst, they are more likely to scorn our God. In this case, indeed, we fail to be a light and salt of world. In accordance with Jesus' commandment, He said that "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house (Mat 5:13-15)

Therefore, we need to be an obedient sheep which always follows His word. God has deigned to guide us to the righteousness. Will we also deign to be guided by Him? Are we willing to get rid of this sinful thought over our mind and supersede it with the mind of Christ?

This is the time to decide what kind of sheep you are. Kindly get into quiet moment and pray to God solemnly

The Vine and The Branch

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." [John 15:1-4] To be a sturdy Christian means we must stay in the word of God which is able to enrich our knowledge and enlighten our path. In the book of John, Lord likened Himself as a vine while we are the branch. That leads us to a tantalizing question: What does the vine mean and what is the main role of the vine itself? Moreover, If we separate ourselves from the vine, what will happen? The Lord is the vine, as the bible said, means He is the source of everything we need. It includes our knowledge, strength, prosperity, and wisdom. Jesus taught clearly ...

It is mandatory to show respect and to love each other. What is written in the book of Titus depicts the importance of doing the good things. As a believers in Christ, we have a responsibility to create a peace among our neighbor. Furthermore, that order is similar, or even is in a part of the greatest commandment given by Jesus in Matthew 22:34-38 Jesus replied : “‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second is like it: ‘Love your...
