Fight Against The Evil One

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [Eph 6: 14-17]

As a Christian living in this world, we have a serious menace that comes from evil. Indeed, the evil one is not represented as a creatures in the underworld. That evil who has already existed since the beginning of this world is eager to insinuate ourselves continuously. The point is, he will not cease his deceptive act until we relinquish our faith in Jesus and no longer follow The Lord.

That menace will be ongoing ceaselessly until we fall into his trap. Thus, it is truly important to scrutinize carefully about what the most powerful strategy to subdue his menace. In the book of Ephesians, Paul wrote a magnificent strategy to block the deception of evil and in return, to do a counterattack towards him.

Paul said, we should wear the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness to spread a gospel, the helmet of salvation, shield to protect from evil’s insinuation. Finally, for the counterattack, we should use the sword which is the word of God. Those armor of God can be worn only if we make an intense relationship and communication with God.

In addition to fortify our defense, Paul admonished us to subdue any pretension that tends to battle against the word of God. In book of Corinthians , he elucidated “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ [2 Cor 10:5]. In other words, we should have a transformation of mind as it is written in book of Romans "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. [Rom 12:2]. The bottom line is we should change our view from a sinful man to the flawless mind of Christ.

In summary, as a Christian who is willing to serve Jesus vigorously , we must recognize that being a true Christian is not easy. In fact, we must struggle with the deception of the evil one, that it becomes a serious menace. Hence, in order to eradicate its menace, we must wear the armor of God consciously by making a profound relationship with Jesus in pondering the bible and communicating through solemn prayer. Moreover, in term of strengthening our faith, we must transform our mind to be the mind of Christ.

The Vine and The Branch

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." [John 15:1-4] To be a sturdy Christian means we must stay in the word of God which is able to enrich our knowledge and enlighten our path. In the book of John, Lord likened Himself as a vine while we are the branch. That leads us to a tantalizing question: What does the vine mean and what is the main role of the vine itself? Moreover, If we separate ourselves from the vine, what will happen? The Lord is the vine, as the bible said, means He is the source of everything we need. It includes our knowledge, strength, prosperity, and wisdom. Jesus taught clearly

The Obedient Sheep

Moreover, in fact, we are eager to walk swiftly and rashly even though we are heading to the Death Valley.  Specifically, the vivid consequences of going astray is we will have no interest in learning bible, which means our frame of mind will not be formed and revised by the word of God. We will not be able to hear His admonishment at all. As a result, we are inclined to decide what we are going to do by our own thought. For example, when we are in a daze due to we are dealing with a lot of ordeals, what are we planing to? Will we seek some indulgences outside or take some times to pray to God? Are we more interested in babbling over our predicaments with friends or discussing it rigorously with our christian friends who know profoundly about bible and able to give a prudent advice? As Jesus s

Be Strong in The Trial

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it. [1 Cor 10:13] NIV In our daily life, we may face frequently toward several trials, which sometimes we think those trials are a heinous predicament. For example, when we are doing our business, it is more likely that we are stumbled or outfoxed by our partner. Moreover, in our workplace, we probably must face with a mountainous backlogs when we have arrived in the office. Those are the reality of trial that we often meet in our daily life. Undoubtedly, we need to realize that trial has truly existed in our daily life and there are no ways to avoid it. Lord, I am going to give up in hand
