DOING WHAT IS GOOD [Titus 3:1-11]

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone [Titus 3:2]

It is well-acknowledged that every people, especially Christians should behave in a good ways. It is mandatory to show respect and to love each other. What is written in the book of Titus depicts the importance of doing the good things.

As a believers in Christ, we have a responsibility to create a peace among our neighbor. Specifically, Paul wrote in a book of Titus that we should " to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone" [Titus 3:2}. Furthermore, that order is similar, or even is in a part of the greatest commandment given by Jesus in Matthew 22:34-38 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself . Those are commonly known amid congregation, but it must be acknowledged that none has done perfectly to those commandment. Hence, Paul emphasized strictly and obviously that order to christian believer to do what is good.

In addition, Bible warns us to avoid a debate over foolish controversies and other genealogies. Canvassing the history of the bible can be an appealing and tantalizing inquiry. However, it only leads us to an unremitting debate which, indeed, it is not necessary at all. Another result given by debating a genealogies is the occurrence of divisible church. The congregation tend to defend their opinion and all of them are claiming that their statement is purely in line with bible. That result will be a forgone conclusion if every christian argues continually to each other and at worst, the church will be divided. Thus, as an obedient christian, it is absolutely necessary to avert the fruitless debate.

Therefore, in order to do what is good, it is truly mandatory to behave nicely and gently towards our neighbor. Moreover, we need to avoid or even stop the foolish debate happening amid the believers. By doing those things, together, as a christian, we are attempting to achieve a peaceful circumstances as Paul has already said

The Vine and The Branch

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." [John 15:1-4] To be a sturdy Christian means we must stay in the word of God which is able to enrich our knowledge and enlighten our path. In the book of John, Lord likened Himself as a vine while we are the branch. That leads us to a tantalizing question: What does the vine mean and what is the main role of the vine itself? Moreover, If we separate ourselves from the vine, what will happen? The Lord is the vine, as the bible said, means He is the source of everything we need. It includes our knowledge, strength, prosperity, and wisdom. Jesus taught clearly

The Obedient Sheep

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way [ Isaiah 53:6a] Bible describes us like a sheep that has gone astray due to we tend to take our own way. Moreover, in fact, we are eager to walk swiftly and rashly even though we are heading to the Death Valley.  Specifically, the vivid consequences of going astray is we will have no interest in learning bible, which means our frame of mind will not be formed and revised by the word of God. We will not be able to hear His admonishment at all. As a result, we are inclined to decide what we are going to do by our own thought. For example, when we are in a daze due to we are dealing with a lot of ordeals, what are we planing to? Will we seek some indulgences outside or take some times to pray to God? Are we more interested in babbling over our predicaments with friends or discussing it rigorously with our christian friends who know profoundly about bible and able to give a prudent advice? As Jesus s

Be Strong in The Trial

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it. [1 Cor 10:13] NIV In our daily life, we may face frequently toward several trials, which sometimes we think those trials are a heinous predicament. For example, when we are doing our business, it is more likely that we are stumbled or outfoxed by our partner. Moreover, in our workplace, we probably must face with a mountainous backlogs when we have arrived in the office. Those are the reality of trial that we often meet in our daily life. Undoubtedly, we need to realize that trial has truly existed in our daily life and there are no ways to avoid it. As a Christian, we normally question to a ubiquity and a miraculous act of God by grumbling “Lord, where are You? Do You really want me to overcome this predicament alone? Lord, I am going to give up in hand
