A MARRIAGE LIFE : THE UNSYNCHRONIZED REACTION

A marriage should be described as the most blissful moment in our lives. However some people experience the opposite moment of marriage in their lives. What moment do they experience?  Marriage is the status, condition, or moment that two people becomes one. They are united and bound one each others. They shall love each others by showing an abundant mercy, sacrifice, and acceptance. nobody is perfect, as well as the couple in the marriage life. None of them are flawlessly loving each others. Their loves which should be depicted sincerely, sometimes are showed terribly. A gentle attitude is showed by a rude gesture. A mistake of a person which should be responded by showing mercy, sometimes is responded by a judgmental statement. Those are facts that currently exist in the marriage life of every couple. They often experience such kind of "unsynchronized reaction" which represents the inconsistency of couple. An oath which has been declared in the front of priest, or even God

NEITHER RICHES NOR POVERTY

Proverbs 30:8-9 (KJV) Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:  Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. Bible teaches us to be contented with our daily provisions. Not asking for an exaggerated wealth so we will not boast our rich by declaring that all this riches are from our own hands. On the contrary, not asking for an under-poverty-line condition, which makes us difficult to live, even to consume meals. Well, I think no one will ask this request in a prayer.  Riches are meaningless without God. It will only drag us away from God. In the end, we will realize that riches have wrapped us strongly, even stronger than our desires to seek God. Finally, just the matter of time, we will leave God, the source of life (including riches that we have).  The poverty condition, on the other hand, is as dangerous as riches. We may ste

BUILD OR RUIN

"Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you."  (Romans 12:2 MSG version) Recently we are facing the digital era which offers a lot of entertainments and information. We can create a social community or even ruin it. We can tighten the relationship or even break it. It really depends on us: Do we really have a deep consideration before take an action? Nowadays, People are more likely to spend their time too much to scroll down their Instagram or post their thoughts on Facebook. They are so fervent to show off their belongings or recent photograph with eye-catching background (which is also known as Instagramable scenery). They ar

FURTHER, STRONGER

but those who hope  in the  Lord  will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;  they will run and not grow weary,  they will walk and not be faint. (Isa 40:31) In the evening, I went to a convenience store to buy some stuffs. That store is located far from my boarding house. After I had finished shopping, I went back to my boarding house by foot. Well, the way to return home is truly tiring and wearing. I must go through the pedestrian bridge by stepping up through that stairs and stepping down on the other side. Then I must walk through the unfriendly pedestrian sidewalk which is only separated by a narrow concrete road separator. After that I must enter an alley which is fully overwhelmed by cars. All of those hindrances make my journey tiring and wearing.  God understands that the longer we become a Christian, the more exhausted we will become. The further we have walked, the wearier we will feel. All of those conditions are experienced by us, as a hu

Dare to Walk Through It?

"Lord, if it’s you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water.""Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came towards Jesus [Mat 14:28-29] We do know exactly what Peter had done at that time. At first, Peter fully doubted towards what was appearing to him. He expected it as a ghost or other spiritual creatures hovering on the water. His mind was completely convoluted with a tremendous question: what is it? Finally, he strained to ask someone who was walking on the water outstandingly with a curious question "Lord, if it’s you," tell me to come to you on the water." . As a result from Peter's request, the person who was walking on the water, which we have already known as Jesus, told Peter to come out from the boat and start walking on the water. Surprisingly, Peter truly walked on the water to come closely to Jesus. Here, we can make a gist that Peter, as an ordinary man, had made an

Be Strong in The Trial

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it. [1 Cor 10:13] NIV In our daily life, we may face frequently toward several trials, which sometimes we think those trials are a heinous predicament. For example, when we are doing our business, it is more likely that we are stumbled or outfoxed by our partner. Moreover, in our workplace, we probably must face with a mountainous backlogs when we have arrived in the office. Those are the reality of trial that we often meet in our daily life. Undoubtedly, we need to realize that trial has truly existed in our daily life and there are no ways to avoid it. As a Christian, we normally question to a ubiquity and a miraculous act of God by grumbling “Lord, where are You? Do You really want me to overcome this predicament alone? Lord, I am going to give up in hand

The Vine and The Branch

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." [John 15:1-4] To be a sturdy Christian means we must stay in the word of God which is able to enrich our knowledge and enlighten our path. In the book of John, Lord likened Himself as a vine while we are the branch. That leads us to a tantalizing question: What does the vine mean and what is the main role of the vine itself? Moreover, If we separate ourselves from the vine, what will happen? The Lord is the vine, as the bible said, means He is the source of everything we need. It includes our knowledge, strength, prosperity, and wisdom. Jesus taught clearly
