NEITHER RICHES NOR POVERTY

Proverbs 30:8-9 (KJV) Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:  Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. Bible teaches us to be contented with our daily provisions. Not asking for an exaggerated wealth so we will not boast our rich by declaring that all this riches are from our own hands. On the contrary, not asking for an under-poverty-line condition, which makes us difficult to live, even to consume meals. Well, I think no one will ask this request in a prayer.  Riches are meaningless without God. It will only drag us away from God. In the end, we will realize that riches have wrapped us strongly, even stronger than our desires to seek God. Finally, just the matter of time, we will leave God, the source of life (including riches that we have).  The poverty condition, on the other hand, is as dangerous as riches. We may ste
